Many young adults with autism would rather take public transportation than drive their own car or rely on other people to give them a ride to the locations they need or want to go. This is because public transit permits them to travel more independently. As a result, it is essential to understand the various modes of public transportation and the social norms that should be adhered to when utilizing public transportation.
The travel training program is a total of 24 sessions, held twice weekly from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm from January to March. Each student is assigned a Registered Behavior Technician for behavior support and skill aquisition.
